TryOnce. Were are a Farmers initiative delivering Fresh milk and other daily essentials to our brethren in the wider community, currently serving Kochi and around Palakkad Town.

A bit about ourselves. We are a group of friends,; young, enthusiastic and passionate about sustainable farming. We did our graduation in Engineering together. Some of us went on to do our M-Tech. As someone who grew up in communities that practised farming, agriculture it was only natural that we took to an Agro based business post our college days. Pappettan, who has hung up his cotporate boots is now running his own school and a farmer himself plus Gireeshettan who has reconnected with his familys farming background have been our mentors. Together our endeavour has been to create an ethical business that is sustainable, easy on the enviroment and one which our farming community and our customers can benefit from.

Why TryOnce
Connected Communities in Countrysides and Circular Economy.
Keralam is blessed with great weather year round, fertile soil, varied landscapes. These factors and the fact that a significant portion of the resident population own a piece of land in their backyard often have fostered the practice of growing their own veggies, spices, rearing cows, chicken et al. These often are meant for their own families consumption. Needless to say these are unadulterated, dare we say Organic naturally. What they cant consume, they share in their communities. So well before terms such as zero wastage, circular economy came into vogue these communities have been living by those priciples. Each family, within themselves, have been practising the circular economy - the food waste from the households fed the chicken or went into the ground as manure. The cattle grazed in the backyard, pastures and farmland; helped in controlling weeds. The cows gave milk and manure. Chicken gave eggs or fulfilled the meat needs.

Crème Top
In India, milk is probably the most essential of our daily needs. Who wouldnt like a cuppa in the morning. Our country being one of the top producers and consumers of milk. With wide variety of milk available in the market, from our next door milk man to milk co-operatives and corporates have been selling us milk.
This is what in the diary industry terms known as Non Homogenised milk which is argued as the most natural state the milk can be. In this condition, the fat molecules are suspended in their natural state, rising to the top over time. Homogenised milk often is susceptible to adulteration where the adulterants are hard to detect.

What we do. We collect milk, cows mik to be precise, daily from marginal farmers, paying them fair price at the point of collection. We then put in practise the formal training we undertook at Mannuthy veterinary institute, testing 20 odd parameters to ensure the quality of milk collected. We pasterize the milk, just for the purpose of getting it safe for consumption. That is just about the processing our milk is subjected to.We chill the milk, fill them in glass bottles and transport them in chiller trucks. The chilled milk bottles are encased in thermo-insulated pouches and delivered to your door step by 0730 the following days, all these in under 24 hours. Our delivery executives collect the clean milk bottles and pouches left outside the doors and return those to our bottling unit ready to be cleaned for yet another days despatch. As you can see, we have been conscious of the relevance of the circular economy which we have weaved into our business process so you can feel good about your own contribution to keep the environment clean and minimise the inorganic wastes going into a landfill near you.
